The brief was to secure as much coverage as possible for their 200th anniversary events as well as Billecart-Salmon the business
Billecart-Salmon is one of the world's most admired Champagne Houses and is renowned for its distinctive vintages, and iconic Rosé. Billecart-Salmon is also one of the few remaining independent, family-owned Champagne Houses, and last year celebrated 200 years since it was founded by Elisabeth Salmon and Nicolas François Billecart, shortly after their marriage in 1818. With the 7th generation now at the helm, this family business has certainly made its mark over time and is now widely recognized as one of the finest Champagne Houses in the world.
We have worked as part of the wider Billecart-Salmon UK team for the last 18 months. We started working for the family in 2018, their important bicentennial year, with anniversary events planned across the world, including a wonderful dinner at La Dame de Pic in London, and a gorgeous garden party in Mareuil-sur-Ay. Our main brief was to secure as much coverage as possible for these 200th anniversary events as well as Billecart-Salmon the business. We hosted a masterclass with Mathieu Roland-Billecart and invited trade and consumer journalists to visit the House in Champagne. We secured over XXX pieces of coverage over the course of nine months and were delighted to be asked to continue to work with them for 2019.
This was the first time that Billecart-Salmon had ever used outside agencies for their PR and we’re so pleased that they could see how much our efforts contributed to the overall success of the 200th anniversary celebrations and the continued promotion of the brand, the family, its values and its wines.
