English sparkling wine specialists, Ridgeview, are continuing their success in the US with a number of events held this autumn including launching the wines in Texas with Victory Wine Group. Tamara Roberts, Ridgeview’s CEO visited three American States in a 10 day trip, meeting trade, consumers and journalists. Ridgeview have been exporting to the US since 2011 and this market visit has bolstered the enthusiasm and growth in popularity of Ridgeview wines in America. Whist in the USA, Tamara also took part in Wine Riot, a hugely successful consumer wine event in New York. Ridgeview sparkling wines are now available in New York, Washington DC, Texas, North & South Carolina, Virginia and California with Michigan & Arizona soon to join the list of states where Ridgeview can be enjoyed.
Tamara commented “It is a really exciting time for English wine in the US and the feedback I received from the tastings was amazing. The quality of our wines shined through and cemented the Americans love of British products. Since winning Gold medals at the TEXSOM International Wine Awards and scoring 90+ points for our wines in the US based Wine Enthusiast magazine, we expect to see a huge rise in interest for our wines across the US.”

Later in the month Ridgeview will also be working with two Michelin Star chef Tom Kerridge and British Airways to promote the British Isles in the USA. The Above & Beyond Bringing Britain Closer event, in San Francisco will showcase British dishes matched to wines hailing from Britain that will allow guests to experience the sights, sounds, and smells of the UK. Guests will include BA and CHASE card holders as well as media and bloggers.

The second generation of the Roberts family, their daughter Tamara and son Simon, have lead roles in the management and winemaking and continue to develop Ridgeview as a pioneer within the wine industry.
Ridgeview wines are sold in the finest restaurants and speciality retailers throughout the United Kingdom.
Ridgeview export reseller portfolio is rapidly expanding; the wines are sold in 12 countries worldwide including USA, Holland, Japan, Australia and Finland. They currently export 20% of their production & aim to take this further alongside their expansion to increase production to 500,000 bottles by 2020.
February 2015 saw Ridgeview Wine Estate awarded one of DEFRA’s Top 50 Food Stars. 50 Food and Drink Stars was set up in response to the revival of food and drink industries in the UK, and to recognise food and drink entrepreneurs for their contribution to the UK’s economy.
Ridgeview wines were served in the English pavilion, at World Expo in Milan from May to September 2015.
Ridgeview won the Small Business Award of the year at the 2015 Sussex Business Awards, swiftly followed by the Sussex Drink Producer of the Year at the 10th Sussex Food and Drinks Awards, in January 2016.
In 2016 Ridgeview was named Best London and South East Business Family Business of the Year and Best Food and Drink Family Business of the Year in the Family Business United Awards
